CAG's shipwreck & mrs. shipwreck preview the new releases for the week of September 5th, 2008. The releases are starting to arrive all hot and heavy this week and on top of that, we cover last week's games as well. Also in this episode, an interview with CAG MotzCTG who is one of the developers of this week's Xbox Live Arcade Game, Shred Nebula.
Don't forget to enter our contest for one of five copies of Shred Nebula for XBLA along with t-shirts from Crunchtime Games.

The following are CAGs most ordered games from Amazon in August 2008.
Somewhat surprising given the high price tag, the response on the Amazon Gears of War 2 Lancer was outstanding with most CAGs opting to spend the extra $10 and go for the Limited Edition version of the game. Microsoft's XBLA pre-order bonuses also appear to be very effective as many CAGs took advantage of Banjo-Kazooie and Fable 2 Arcade offerings.
A few months ago, knowing his artistic ability and style pretty well, I contacted CAG member RelentlessRolento to do a new signature and avatar for me on the forum. I was so impressed with what he came up with in such a short amount of time, I asked him if he'd be interested in another project.
Wombat & Shipwreck join forces to create the CAGplay Forecast. A terrible name for sure. The show basically boils down to a CAGcast without a large, pasty bald guy living in Japan mixed with a CAG Foreplay without the sex appeal. Instead, you get an average-sized, pasty red-headed guy living in Ohio and, well, I guess Wombat better start shaking that money maker.

Joystiq has obtained a copy of a future Radio Shack Ad (dated 9/7) which lists price drops for the Xbox 360 Elite and Arcade consoles. These prices jibe with Ars Technica's original report which revealed the new prices as:
Arcade $200
Pro (60GB HD) $300
Elite (120GB HD) $400
Ars's mole also says we should expect game pack-ins in time for the holidays.
CAG's shipwreck & mrs. shipwreck preview the new releases for the week of August 20th, 2008. We're back from vacation and cover the last two week's worth of releases. Well... we go off track a bunch too, but I'm pretty sure we talk about new releases in there somewhere.

Pre-Order Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and participating retailers such as Amazon are throwing in a code which will get you the original XBLA version of Banjo-Kazooie for free and let you download it two weeks before the widespread release.
Perhaps even better news is that Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (and Viva Pinata 2) carries an MSRP of $39.99. You can find the official press release here.
I made some drastic purchases over the last week. I've been looking over Craigslist for two things. My constant searches are for pinball machines and sectionals. One of them won... twice.
There are a bunch of Amazon deals floating around, so I thought I'd combine them into one post. You may wish to take advantage of the bill me later and/or free 3 month Amazon prime trial promotions with these deals.
Wombat may or may not say anything negative or controversial in this episode. Either way, we have discussions on downloadable games expectations and pricing, new releases, the latest video game industry and shopping news, your CAGbag questions and much more!

The CAG Game Collection system has been coming along nicely (along with a bunch of other huge features), but since the collection system is what I hear most requests for it's the current top priority. The basics of the new system have actually been nearly complete since the launch of CAG 2.0, but I haven't considered it ready since there are still too many things lacking. I want to make sure that it's the best game collection system around by far, and for that I'm going to need some suggestions on what you want to see included.
