Here’s what I know about the story of Bayonetta summed up in one sentence: This game is about the battle between Umbra Witches and Lumen Sages. Beyond that, I don’t have much comprehension of the finer points of the game’s plot. I’m not even sure there are “finer points”, but I do remember a part where the imposter Bayonetta suddenly shot forth a radiant beam of light from her crotch that revealed her to be an angel in disguise. Fortunately, crotch fireworks don’t signify the end of the story and I then continued on to kick that Baroque-ass angel with a flurry of katanas, shotgun shoes, whips, torture racks, and enormous mystical high heel stilettos made of hair. You certainly don’t see that type of sequence on a daily basis.

Games coming from NinjaBee are usually right up my alley. Both Mrs. Ship and I loved A Kingdom for Keflings. Band of Bugs was great, and Cloning Clyde kept me entertained. There seems to be a common thread of charming uniqueness to their products. But when The Amazing Brain Train! (a partnership between NinjaBee and Grubby Games) arrived in my Wii Mail, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to give the game a fair review because I simply wasn’t qualified (or young enough) to evaluate it properly.
